It's about God and You

Man standing in a crowdIn our society, schools and media will try to convince you that there is no God, that your existence is purely an accident, the result of time and chance.

This just isn't the case, you are created and you have a purpose in life.

There are some excellent sites that focus on this debate (see our Links page), but the core issue isn't a theory that by random chance minerals and chemicals somehow organised themselves created a complex, self-duplicating life form, that we can't get close to recreating even with all the technology at our disposal. It goes a little deeper.

Afterall, if we could prove God to you, how would you respond?

The core question is whether you would really wish to turn to God. Because if there is a God, then we have to face other questions that we may not want answers to, such as, "why did He create me and what does He expect of me?"

The drive to ignore God is not a lack of evidence but a desire to carry on as you are, not to be accountable to God. It is good to ask questions, but check that your motivation is to get to the truth and not to justify being the way that you are.

"The fool has said in his heart, There is no God. They acted corruptly, and have worked out abominable wickedness; there is not one doing good." (Psalm 53:1)

You may not wish to believe in God, but He will still acquire an account of your life to Him. "it is appointed to men once to die, but after this the judgement" (Heb 9:27).

If you do believe in God, who exactly is your God?

There is a lot of Godless religion in this world, some of it even calls itself Christian. But who is your God? There are so many ideas about that you can almost pick one that suits you, but you will only be deceiving yourself because you will be missing the point if you think that just believing in God is what God is about; You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! (James 2:19)

Jesus warned that He is the only way to God (John 14:6) and that on judgement day there would even be some who will claim that they called Him Lord and did amazing things in His name and yet He will say to them "I never knew you" (Matt 7:21-23)

You can spend a lifetime trying all sorts of religions and still miss the mark, or you can spend a little time looking to discover if Jesus was who He said He was and gain eternal life. You can sincerely jump on the wrong bus, and it will still take you to the wrong destination. Don't be religious, seek God.

"Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12)

But why even listen to Jesus if there are so many religions out there?

The Bible makes it very clear that the only way to God is through Jesus.

There is good reason why we believe that Jesus was the Son of God, the Messiah as promised by God (if you have questions for which you can't find the answers just ask us). We strongly encourage you to take Him seriously as there is some bad news that you need to be aware of and some great news on what God has done about it.
